Eficode brings the joy of Rails to HAAGA-HELIA students

Eficode will introduce the students of HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences with the basics of Ruby on Rails web application framework. The two-month course named 'Eficode Academy: Ruby on Rails' begins on January 15.

The course is led by Eficode lead architects Tero Parviainen (Software Development) and Tair Assimov (SCM) who have worked with Rails for years. "Rails is amazingly fun subject to teach because students are able to achieve functionality in a short period of time. I relish to share my Rails expertise with young talents. When it comes to our recruiting, I won't mind at all if we happen to find eager new Rails developers among the students," Parviainen enthuses.

During the course groups of students will develop features for a web application build together. In the last session, the best feature demoed will be awarded by Eficode. Participants will be issued a certificate of participation and they can continue to deepen their Rails know-how in the intermediate course arranged later in the spring.

Eficode Academy concept follows Eficode’s policy to maintain close collaboration with local universities. “We want to take part in cultivating professionals who match our skills profile, right from the start,” says CEO Risto Virkkala.

Eficode Academy: Ruby on Rails is organized in collaboration with HHLinuxClub. See the club's website for a detailed course description.
