A personal identification system for an online credit application service

Tunnistepalvelu.fi is a centralised online credit application service used by Pohjola Pankki and its partners to make processing credit applications faster and speed up Pohjola Pankki's partners' customer service functions. The system uses the Tupas authentication system of the Federation of Finnish Financial Services. In this way, the credit applications can be signed electronically using the online banking credentials of any Finnish bank, which makes the deployment of electronic personal authentication and electronic signature services significantly faster in a cost-effective way.

The service produced by EfiCode is special because of its ability to be expanded to other business sectors, such as the online customer service applications in the public sector and other communities, where secure identification of the user and/or electronic signatures play important roles. The expandability of the system also makes it possible to use mobile authentication methods.
