OCT 26, 2026

In a nutshell

Company

team.blue is a leading European digital enabler and technology group that provides web hosting, domain registration, e-commerce, and cloud infrastructure services to over 3.3 million small and medium-sized businesses across Europe.

Challenge

  • Rapid M&A growth across a 4,000+ total workforce required standardized IT setup for 60+ brands in 20+ countries.

  • Isolated legacy systems made software development and cross-brand collaboration difficult.

  • Fixed deadline to replace legacy tools.

Solution

  • Built a deep understanding of team.blue’s environment during a complex initial migration to establish shared standards.

  • Contributed to the development of an eight-phase brand integration playbook to streamline onboarding.

  • Consolidated legacy tools into a company-managed Jira and Confluence environment with Okta SSO.

 Benefits

  • Built a scalable Atlassian environment designed to support team.blue's entire 4,000+ global workforce.

  • Turned complex post-merger integrations into a fast, repeatable process.

  • Established a long-term technical partnership supporting team.blue's ongoing growth roadmap.

The challenge: Bringing growing digital brands onto one shared platform

team.blue was formed in 2019 through the merger of three companies—Combell Group, Register Group, and TransIP Group—and has since grown  into a major digital services enterprise with more than 60 brands across 20+ countries.

To support over 4,000 employees across the group, Group IT needed a consistent way for newly acquired companies to work together. Separate legacy environments made collaboration difficult, while a 300% vendor price increase added urgency to the move of the first environment to be migrated. team.blue needed a scalable, company-managed Atlassian platform to support its ongoing growth.

You just can’t acquire companies and let them run in silos—you need platform synergy to collaborate effectively across borders.

The solution: Turning a complex first project into a repeatable integration model

We started with team.blue’s most complex migration: moving its Dutch region off legacy tools under a tight deadline while putting the right access and governance standards in place for group-wide growth.

Through this first project, we built a deep understanding of team.blue’s environment and helped establish consistent naming standards, role-based security, and user mapping through Okta SSO. Together, we turned these learnings into an eight-phase integration playbook, creating a clear, repeatable process for bringing newly acquired brands onto the platform.

Every brand migration comes with legacy quirks that standard tools can't handle out of the box. By writing custom scripts and executing data transfers outside office hours, we made sure every project landed smoothly on time and within budget.

The result: Unifying thousands of employees under a single source of truth

Together, we moved team.blue from manual configurations toward a more automated migration approach.

Dozens of acquired brands now work in a shared Jira and Confluence environment. The scalable platform provides seamless access for team.blue's 4,000+ workforce as adoption across regions continues to grow. Legacy environments are safely archived, teams across countries collaborate easily, and team.blue has a predictable routine for integrating newly acquired brands.

The Atlassian platform was critical to transforming team.blue from separated local entities into a unified group, and Eficode was instrumental in setting up that environment under immense time constraints.
